The Giants have been linked to Marlins starting pitcher Ricky Nolasco, and now they are reported to have an interest in Yankees reliever Joba Chamberlain.

According to HardballTalk.com via the New York Post, the Braves and Giants “have an interest” in the Yankees' big righthander. The Post says both teams had a scout watching Chamberlain recently.

Chamberlain, 27,  has spent his entire six-year career with the Yankees where he is 5-11 lifetime with a 3.83 ERA.

A strained muscle in the first half of this season forced the 6-2, 230-pound Chamberlain to miss a month of action. He's 1-1 with a 5.75 ERA in 21 games (20.1 IP) for New York including 21 strikeouts and 10 walks.
