Clippers' Griffin suffered partially torn quad tendon vs Lakers

The Clippers beat the Lakers on Christmas Day, but in the process, they lost their leading scorer for at least two weeks.

Power forward Blake Griffin suffered a partially torn left quad tendon, the team announced Saturday afternoon.

Griffin didn't travel with the team to Utah, and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, according to the team.

In 36 minutes Friday, Griffin finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.

In 30 games this season, Griffin is averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.

The Clippers are slated to host the Kings in three weeks (Jan. 16).
