Back-to-back layups by DeWayne Russell capped a 9-1 run that pulled Grand Canyon (24-6) within two about 4 1/2 minutes later, but the Antelopes would get no closer as Saint Mary's made six of its final 13 field-goal attempts and 9 of 11 foul shots down the stretch.
