This past weekend was an exciting one! The best volleyball teams in the state of California met at Concordia University in Irvine to compete in their respective division for the state title. There are five divisions in California so a total of ten squads made it to the big stage and four of those teams hailed from the Bay Area.

The Branson Bulls represented the Bay Area in the Division 5 match, taking onTri City Christian from San Diego. The Bulls had no problem, sweeping TCC in three sets to claim the title.

The Division 4 game featured Sacred Heart Prep taking on another San Diego team: Parker. SHP fought hard but fell in the fifth set.

The Campolindo Cougars represented the Bay Area in Division 3 meeting the Cathedral Catholic Dons on the court. The Cougs battled tough winning the first set, but lost the next three falling to the Dons in four sets.

Archbishop Mitty was the fourth and final team competing from the Bay Area. They met Martin Luther King for the Division 2 finale. Mitty, as the have all year looked unstoppable. The Monarchs swept the match to cap off their 38-0 season by hoisting the Division 2 State Title.

It was an all around action-packed and exciting weekend! Hats off to all the Bay Area high schools (Branson, Sacred Heart, Campolindo, and Mitty) for amazing seasons!
