No. 1 draft pick Jadeveon Clowney had sports hernia surgery on Thursday. 

Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said Clowney had some groin trouble so the team sent him to Philadelphia to see a specialist. O'Brien said Clowney should be ready for training camp in late July.
