Raiders free agent quarterback Bruce Gradkowski has signed a two-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a national media report.

Gradkowski confirmed the move to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area's Kate Longworth shortly after the initial news.

The popular QB shared this message on his departure: "It's been a great experience in the bay and I wanna thank the awesome fans!"

Raiders coach Hue Jackson was asked about the departure of Gradkowski, as well as that of Robert Gallery, who reportedly signed with Seattle.

Im very happy for both of those individuals," Jackson said. "Those individuals were here and a big part of what we did a year ago. I wish them well. They have great families. When they were here, they did everything they could. Im sure theyll move forward and keep going. The most important thing for me is, these men that are here and the way I get these guys ready to play football.

Gradkowski was plagued by shoulder and knee injuries the past two seasons.

ESPN's Adam Schefter posted news of the deal on Twitter shortly before 2 p.m.

Gradkowski appeared in six games for Oakland in 2010, completing 83 of 157 attempts, with five touchdowns and seven interceptions. He appeared in seven games in 2009, including an upset of the Steelers in Pittsburgh, Gradkowski's home town.

On November 22, 2009, in his first start for the Raiders, Gradkowski threw two touchdowns to spark a come-from-behind 20-17 victory over the heavily favored Bengals.

Gradkowski was a sixth-round selection of Tampa Bay in 2006.
