NFL teams typically need a second punter to get through training camp. The Raiders added someone to help starter Marquette King's leg survive the summer.
Stanford alum Daniel Zychlinski will do that, hoping to put enough good work on film to get picked up by a needy team.
Barring injury or a major case of the yips, King will be the Raiders punter in 2014. While his touchback total was a bit high and his inside-the-20 placement was a bit low, King has a booming leg and recorded a 40.1-yard net average.
Zychlinski punted for Stanford from 2008-12.
