ALAMEDA -- Raiders top draft pick Tony Bergstrom will endure a week in limbo as incumbent right guard Mike Brisiel continues to recover from a concussion and ankle injury.

"He’ll be more-or-less a game-time decision with an ankle," head coach Dennis Allen said, announcing Brisiel's status Friday.

Brisiel, 29, hasn't practiced all week, but that doesn't concern his coach, as Allen believes the six-year veteran is the type of player who can step onto the field as an effective player Sunday, having missed his entire week of reps.

If Brisiel is ruled out, it will likely mean the first career start for the Raiders' top draft choice -- guard Tony Bergstrom.

The Raiders and Chargers released status reports for their Sunday game, with the Raiders listing eight players to the Chargers' five.
