Mauia (6-0, 250, Hawaii) most recently spent time with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League from 2009-11. Originally drafted in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, Mauia has appeared in 36 career games and made four starts at fullback for three different NFL teams. He played in all 16 games for the 2007 Dolphins, two for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2008 and 18 games for the Cardinals.

The Stockton, Calif. native played both running back and along the defensive line at Hawaii after transferring from San Joaquin Delta College (2002-04) in Stockton. Mauia started five of 19 games for the Hawaii Warriors and posted 212 yards rushing on 43 carries for three touchdowns. He was moved to fullback as a senior and carried the ball 31 times for 153 yards and two scores. At fullback, Mauia factored into the passing game as well, catching ten passes for 109 yards and one touchdown. At San Joaquin Delta College, he spent his first season as a nose tackle before moving to guard in 2004 and earned all-conference honors.
