The Sharks trimmed their training camp roster by cutting three players Monday, including Benn Ferriero, who scored the game-winner in OT for San Jose in Game 1 of the Western Conference semis with Detroit last season.

Defenseman Justin Braun and left wing John McCarthy were also released. The trio was assigned to San Jose's AHL affiliate in Worcester.

Ferriero was signed as a free agent by San Jose on September 1, 2009.
