Lacob jokes about Dubs defending ‘scary' Luka in West finals

The Warriors have their hands full with Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Dončić in the Western Conference finals.

Everyone inside and outside the organization is well aware of the threat the 23-year-old poses, including Warriors CEO Joe Lacob.

Lacob joined NBC Sports Bay Area's Bonta Hill, Chris Mullin, Festus Ezeli and Dorell Wright on "Warriors Live: Playoff Edition" ahead of Game 1 at Chase Center, and at the end of the interview, he was asked if he had any tips for defending Dončić.

"Man, that guy is scary," Lacob said. "I don't know. My job is not to coach. That's [Steve Kerr's] job."

Dončić missed the first three games of the NBA playoffs against the Utah Jazz due to a calf injury, but since returning, he has been nearly unstoppable as the Mavericks won their first-round series and then upset the No. 1-seeded Phoenix Suns to advance to the West finals.

In 10 games this postseason, Dončić is averaging 31.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 6.6 assists. He's shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

If the Warriors are unable to contain Dončić during the West finals, things definitely will get scary for Golden State.
