Drew Rosenhaus, Antonio Brown's agent, considers Raiders ‘great fit'

Antonio Brown is coming to Oakland after the Raiders acquired him from the Steelers on Saturday night.

While the seven-time Pro Bowl is extremely happy about his new team -- quarterback Derek Carr is happy about the deal, too -- Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, also believes this a "great fit" for his client.

"Jon Gruden, I believe, is a future Hall of Fame coach and one of the great offensive minds in football, and the Raiders have a fantastic franchise quarterback in Derek Carr," Rosenhaus said in a Sunday interview with ESPN. "They have a great tradition, great fan base, moving to Las Vegas.

"This is just a great fit for Antonio. He wanted a fresh start and certainly got an opportunity to go to a renowned franchise, one of the marquee franchises in the NFL, a historical team. I'm sure Al Davis would be very proud of this transaction."

Rosenhaus then explained Brown's relationship with the Steelers, who received two mid-round draft picks in the trade, and what had made him want to find a job elsewhere.

"Well, obviously things fell apart at the end of the season," Rosenhaus said. "Antonio wanted to play in the last game against the Bengals, it didn't work out that way, there were a lot of things said that, really it was just a divorce.

"Antonio had nine great years. Sometimes in life, whether it's sports or business, you have a great relationship, but things happen and you have to move on."

It doesn't appear it will be a tumultuous relationship now, though, as Rosenhaus added there aren't any hard feelings with the Steelers. Once the trade was agreed to, they wished each other the best.

Brown received a new three-year contract worth up to $54.125 million from the Raiders, with $30.125 million of it guaranteed, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. We can only imagine how happy Rosenhaus is with those numbers.
