Bogut ‘wouldn't be shocked' if Durant joins Warriors

Andrew Bogut is scheduled to make $12,681,081 next season in the final year of his contract with the Warriors.

But there's no guarantee he will play for Golden State in 2016-17.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, if Kevin Durant chooses to leave the Thunder in free agency, the Warriors are the "significant frontrunners to sign him."

"If you were a player would you want to join our team?" was Bogut's response to SiriusXM NBA Radio's Frank Isola and Brian Scalabrine regarding the report. "Who knows where it's coming from -- probably a mix of his agent, creating whatever it is from that aspect."

To make the cap math work, Golden State's front office would likely have to part ways with Bogut.

The 31-year old center isn't losing sleep.

"We're not too worried about it," Bogut explained. "Funnier things have happened in this league, so I definitely wouldn't be shocked if something like that happened."

The Warriors are the defending champions and are sitting at 44-4.

They are chasing the '96 Bulls and their record 72 wins.

Bogut is confident the Warriors' front office isn't going to make any major moves.

At least, not yet.

"We like the team that we have," Bogut said. "I doubt we'll make any trades, but offseason is a different story. But like I said, who knows in this league."
