The Warriors waived Jason Thompson on Monday to make room for Anderson Varejao, but where will the longtime Kings big man end up?

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Thompson's next destination could be the city Golden State passed through Wednesday night.

The Heat, who the Warriors just defeated in a 118-112 road thriller, reportedly have Thompson on a short-list of players under consideration for when they are clear of going into the luxury tax (March 7-8).

Golden State fans should be familiar with two other names on the list: Jordan Crawford and Dorrell Wright. The NBA vets played for the Warriors in 2014 and 2010-2012, respectively. Both men are currently playing in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

Thompson played in 29 games with the reigning champs this season, with averages of 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds.
