Just two days after officially signing with the Warriors, Nemanja Nedovic is already dealing with an injury.
The Serbian guard sprained his right ankle during a scrimmage on Thursday, keeping him out of Friday's practice and likely preventing him from playing in Saturday's summer league game.
Saturday would be one of the few chances for Nedovic to play for the Warriors this summer since he'll be leaving Las Vegas on Sunday to join the Serbian national team as they compete in the 2013 FISU Summer Universiade.
Earlier Friday, he expressed how excited he was to play in Saturday's game.
Nedovic: "I prepared a lot for this, but I don’t think we’ll risk it. I really want to play, really, really badly, but it is what it is."— Rusty Simmons (@Rusty_SFChron) July 12, 2013
Nedovic, 22, was drafted by the Warriors with the 30th overall pick in this year's NBA draft. He played in 10 Euroleague games this past season, averaging 9.8 points, 2.1 assists, 2.5 rebounds and shooting 38.1% from the floor for the Lietuvos Rytas. This was is fourth professional season in Europe.
